Biography

Jason W. Moore, a historical geographer and environmental historian, is Professor of Sociology at Binghamton University. He co-coordinates the World-Ecology Research Network. His books and essays include L’écologie-monde du capitalisme: Comprendre et combattre la crise environnementale (Éditions Amsterdam, 2024), Oltre la giustizia climatica: Verso un’ecologia della rivoluzione (Ombre Corte, 2024), Capitalism in the Web of Life (Verso, 2015) and, with Raj Patel, A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things (California, 2017). Major awards include the Alice Hamilton Prize in environmental history, the Braverman Prize in labor studies, and the Immanuel Wallerstein Award for Capitalism in the Web of Life.
