Events Manager Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society

Biography

As Events Manager, Ricki Ayala supports the collaboration and public engagement of research projects at the Neubauer Collegium through event planning and production. His work includes coordinating with project leaders, researchers, community members, and campus partners to create environments that foster dialogue and discovery. Ricki earned a BA in Psychology and Mathematics from Georgetown University and a certificate in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School. Before joining the Collegium, they worked in UChicago Professional Education and the Department of Chemistry, and previously served as Program Director at the Center for Urban Transformation in Houston’s Fifth Ward, where they collaborated with residents to launch community-led initiatives. Beyond the University, Ricki is a Lead Activator with Brave Enterprises, where they coach students and educators in resilience and bravery, and they formerly co-directed a competitive dance company in Washington, D.C.
